HLS Reports Solid Q4 Operating Performance, Issues Light 2010 Guidance

Share:

Analyst Alan Fishman of Thomas Weisel maintains his "overweight" rating on HealthSouth Corporation (NYSE: HLS). The target price for HLS is set to $23.

According to Thomas Weisel, HealthSouth has reported its Q4 results inline with the estimates and the guidance reflecting strong operating performance. HLS has, however, issued lower than expected guidance for 2010. Investors are likely to focus on the company’s light guidance and may be concerned about the company’s long term targets, the analyst mentions.

“We would be buyers on weakness given solid execution, notwithstanding light 2010 guidance… In our view, the reimbursement environment and overall market for IRFs remain the most attractive area within post-acute care,” the analyst adds.
